I've made this dessert numerous times before but never posted the recipe in my blog and I wonder why and how I missed it! Glad a reader, Ms Menakha emailed me to share the recipe and such a coincidence that I prepared the same dessert last evening! Thank you for reminding me sis! :) BLACK GLUTINOUS RICE DESSERT /  BUBUR PULUT HITAM Ingredients :~ 200gm black glutinous rice ~ washed and soaked in water for 1 hour or longer, drained 400ml coconut milk + extra 100ml for serving 1/4 tsp salt 250gm sugar water 3 screwpines (pandan leaves) ~  knotted Method :~ Place soaked glutinous rice in a large deep pot. Add about 2 litres of water. Boil over

Prawn & Potato Fry...

Shrimps and potatoes make good combo, especially when made sambal or spicy fry like this. I've posted on my Prawn & Potato Sambal long time back. Check HERE . And today's version is a little simpler with a touch of chilli powder. And I definitely prefer the smaller shrimps for this dish. Do try, yeah!!! :) PRAWN & POTATO FRY Ingredients :~ (A) Mix together 1kg medium shrimps ~ cleaned and leave the tail intact 2 tbsps chilli powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp salt (B) 3 medium potatoes ~ cut into cubes ( you may add more ) 1/4 tsp fennel seeds 1 large onion ~ sliced 3 cloves garlic ~ minced 3 dried chillies ~ halved 3 sprigs curry leaves salt oil Method :~ In a bowl, mix ingredients (A) and set aside for 15 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and fry the cubed potatoes until light brown. Drain on a paper towel. Stir fry fennel seeds, garlic, onion, dried chillies and curry leaves for 1 minute. Add in the marinated prawn. Fry for 10-15 minut

Rishie received a Chelsea Stationery set from his Papa, who is a hardcore fan of Chelsea FC, Champions of Europe. Hubby is slowly turning Rishie into another fan of the club by getting him quite a number of original Chelsea merchandised. From jerseys to stationery set now! :) Ashika too wanted to pose with the set...but moved on to the marine tank to pose with her favourite Nemos! Enjoy the pics for now...see ya!   Okay, I'm tired!!! Chewy Gooey Horlicks Brownies...

I always prefer chocolate brownies more than cakes. Any brownie that is chewy and gooey tops my list! So does this one. I gotto admit it's heavenly rich and I can't have more than a piece at one go, same with my Hubby...lol! But as usual, our kids enjoyed it. YAY...Love2cook Malaysia is 3 today! ^_^ Thank you EVERYONE for your unconditional love and support bestowed upon me and my blog all these years. Seriously, I'm wordless to express my gratitude, especially to my beloved Husband, Son and Daughter who've been the backbone of Love2cook Malaysia ever since it was started. ( Let me share another good news too; My Hubby is on his way home from Norway! Yesssssssss.... ) I'm truly lucky and blessed to have a circle of cyber friends and YOU are one of them! My fellow bloggers, visitors and followers. I've shared the birth history of Love2cook Malaysia in my 2nd Blogoversary post HERE . So, am not gonna repeat the same story but will continue with the recent happenings in my blog. First half of 2012 has been a successful year for Love2cook Malaysia. Rishie, Ashika & Chocolate Chips Muffin...

Sorry, I don't have much time to write right now. Shall take you straight to the pictures and recipe of the day... ;) See ya, wish you a beautiful weekend! CHOCOLATE CHIPS MUFFIN  Ingredients :~ 250gm plain flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder a pinch of salt 113 gm butter 220 gm fine granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla essence 250 ml buttermilk / fresh milk 1 cup chocolate chips Method :~ In a bowl, combine plain flour, baking soda, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Set aside. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until smooth.  Beat in eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated. Scrape the sides of the mixer bowl if needed. Add vanilla essence and buttermilk. Beat using low speed. Add the flour mixture and beat well, do not overbeat. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.  Spoon batter in prepared muffin cups about 2/3 full.  Bake over 170C for 25-30 minutes or until done.  Serve warm. Rishie busy adding Hershey&
