4th June 2009, the day I started http://love2cook-msia.blogspot.com. And today 4th June 2011 marks it's 2nd Blogoversary with total 391 posts. Well, it could have been more if I never take breaks here and there, haha...

So, what made me to blog and that too on food? Honestly, I started cooking quite late after marriage. I never had the interest in cooking and always give excuses to mum about oil splashing, time consuming etc etc about cooking. After marriage, I cook just to fill the tummy. Still remember my rice turned into porridge, chicken and fishes sticked to pan while frying...:)

Luckily, I had only one person to critic on my food at that time and he happens to be my Hubby, my backbone all these while. His honest views and comments helped me alot to improve and slowly built the skills and interest in me. He too sometimes rocks in the kitchen, cooking his favourite dishes for us. He'll make cooking a real fun thing to do. Now my son and daughter are good critics too! ;)

Finally, I started cooking little often, trying new recipes from the net and cookbooks. I called my Mum almost everyday to ask for her recipes with additional queries. I actually started the basic from her dishes.

I then surfed the net and tried other's recipes from a cooking portal, Myresipi.com. I too posted my dishes there. It's the point where I found most of my Malay bloggy friends and in touch with them until now. ;)

Then came the idea of a blog. I discussed with Hubby on my intention to open a food blog and given green signal straightaway! I created my blog, did whatever needed, played with html, layouts etc etc and finally, a blog is done!

I enjoyed changing layouts and headers of my blog until I stayed on the current one for past 8 months. Learning html codes and other widgets are also interesting.

Other than food matters, I too blog on my kids. I know it has been long time since they made their special appearance here. They too very busy like Mummy! ;)

What do I get by blogging? A Circle of friends, knowledge, information and satisfaction! So happy and satisfied seeing others trying my recipes and giving good comments and compliments! I learnt so much from my cyrberfriends who are great cooks. As the saying "Sharing is Caring" was very true in my case. Every blogger willingly shared their tips and lots of info with me.

Being a homestay Mum, blogging has really occupied my time well. Especially when I have absolutely nothing to do. Yup, family is first for me, blog is next. That's why you don't see updates from me at times.

Anyways, I'd take this opportunity to thank all my friends, readers, bloggers, followers and commentors for your support these 2 years!
